About the event
Labor Support Specialist certification will be held on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Class dates are:
October 6th, 9th, 13th, 16th, 20th, 23rd, and 27th (no class on October 30th).
November 3rd, 6th, 10th, 13th, and 17th
Graduation on November 20th.
This in-depth education and certification is designed to prepare you to practice independently as a labor support specialist (*similar to a doula role) in your birth community. We will cover 12 comprehensive modules, including practical skills, real-life case studies, birth story evaluations, community guest speakers, and assignments that are carefully curated to help build your business. This class is provided in a small group setting allowing individual support.

Ticket options are available to pay in-full for the certification, $600 deposit option three $400 payments, or audit the class with no certification provided at the end of the class (those that may want to audit the class include mothers seeking extra education for their own experiences, mothers / grandmothers seeking additional education for their own family experiences, trained professionals seeking a deeper understanding and compassion).
